A WhatsApp export (ZIP or TXT)
Already exported a chat from Android or iPhone? Drop the file into WaChat Web. Media inside the ZIP is matched to the messages automatically.
Open an exportFor Android · iPhone exports · any browser
WhatsApp's export stops at 40,000 messages and drops your media. WaChat opens the whole chat — every message from day one, every photo and voice note — right in your browser or on your phone, and keeps it in your own Google Drive. No server ever sees a word.
Free: one complete chat, forever. On the web, just sign in with Google or email — nothing to install.

Decryption, parsing and search all run on your device. The only things our server knows are that you signed in and whether you have Plus.
Backups live in the hidden app folder of your own Drive. Delete the folder from Drive settings and it is gone — from everywhere.
The full data path, permissions and encryption parameters are published on the security page. Found something? security@wachatplus.com.
Messages kept from a 120,000-message chat
"Export chat" truncates: 10,000 messages with media, 40,000 without. A five-year conversation loses its beginning — and most of its photos.
10,000 messages with media · 40,000 without · manual every time · voice notes and photos often missing · plain text only.
Every message from day one · every photo, voice note, sticker and document · reactions and replies kept · one-time setup · automatic nightly updates with Plus.

On Android the 64-digit key is wrapped by the Keystore. In the browser it becomes a non-exportable CryptoKey — or is not stored at all.
Only the drive.appdata scope. WaChat can't see your other files, and you can wipe the folder from Drive settings.
Your browser fetches files from Drive with your own token. Our server holds only your subscription state and a sign-in token.
Every chat. Every night. Every memory. One price, set fairly for where you live.

Loading the price for your country…
One subscription unlocks Plus in the Android app and on the web. On Google Play it renews automatically until you cancel. On the web you choose how to pay at checkout.
Card payments on the web come with a 14-day money-back guarantee. Crypto payments are prepaid for a fixed term, do not renew and cannot be reversed automatically — contact support for any issue. Google Play purchases follow Google's refund policy.
We price WaChat Plus by country so that it costs roughly the same share of income everywhere — the same price templates Google Play uses. Your country is detected on our server from your connection when you buy; there is no country picker, and the price is locked to your account so it doesn't change when you travel.
For transparency only — you can buy at the price for your own country.

Short answers. The help center has the long ones.
No. Your chats are decrypted and stored on your device — in the browser's storage or on your phone — and, if you choose, in the hidden app folder of your own Google Drive. No server of ours ever receives a message, a media file or your key. All we know is that you are signed in and whether you have Plus.
No. WaChat is an independent product and is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta. It reads backups and exports that WhatsApp already gives you, using your own key.
No. WaChat Web works on its own: sign in with Google or email, then drop a WhatsApp export or your msgstore.db.crypt15 backup plus your 64-digit key into the browser. The app adds automatic nightly sync and saves everything to your Drive.
WhatsApp encrypts its backup with it. Without the key nothing — not WaChat, not anyone — can open the file. That is exactly what keeps your data safe, and it is why the key never leaves your device.
Since late 2025 the default is a passkey. Turn end-to-end encrypted backup off and on again, and choose "Use 64-digit encryption key instead". Then run a new backup so the file is encrypted with that key. The import guide walks you through it.
In Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/Databases/ — the file is called msgstore.db.crypt15. Older daily copies are named msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt15. You can pick it directly in the browser's file dialog on your phone, or copy it to a computer over USB.
