1 · The service

WaChat is an Android app that saves and displays your own WhatsApp chats on your device and in your own Google Drive. WaChat is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.

2 · Your account

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for your device, your account and your WhatsApp encryption key. Use the app only on your own chats and in line with the law and WhatsApp's terms.

3 · Free tier

Free forever and includes: one chat pulled directly with all its messages, unlimited imports from WhatsApp export, messages on Drive, and up to 300 MB of media on Drive. Current limits are shown in the app and may improve over time.

4 · WaChat Plus (subscription)

  • Plans: monthly or yearly, auto-renewing, priced per country as shown in Google Play.
  • Offers: we may offer a free trial or an introductory price for the first period; afterwards the full price shown before purchase applies.
  • Payment and cancellation: through Google Play only. Cancel any time in Google Play → Subscriptions; Plus stays on until the end of the paid period.
  • Refunds: per Google Play policy.
  • Account: the subscription is tied to the WaChat (Google) account that purchased it and works on all your devices with that account, and on WaChat Plus Web when it launches.
  • When it ends: nothing is deleted. Only the extras stop (pulling extra chats, nightly sync, advanced memories, etc.).

5 · Your data

Your data is yours. See the Privacy Policy. Keep a copy of your WhatsApp key; without it the local WhatsApp backup cannot be read.

6 · Acceptable use

Do not use the app to access other people's chats without permission, to break any law, or to circumvent subscription limits.

7 · Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is". We work hard on accuracy, but reading WhatsApp backups depends on a format WhatsApp may change. We are not liable for data loss caused by your device or third-party accounts.

8 · Changes

We may update these terms or prices; material changes are announced in the app and do not apply to a paid period already running.
